The Union Cabinet in its meeting held on 9th August 2024 has approved the implementation of the PMAYG for 5 more years from FY 2024-25 to 2028 for 2 crore more houses.
The approvals given by the Union Cabinet have been intimated to the States/UTs. In addition, the scheme would ensure the priority for first time beneficiary households during FY 2024-25 to 2028-29. The unit assistance under the next phase of the scheme is Rs. 1.20 lakh in plain areas and Rs. 1.30 lakh in the North East Region (NER) States. Hill States namely Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, J & K & Ladakh only. |
